Your mission
As
Production Manager at ecoLocked, you will lead our production area, working as part of a team of experienced industrial and mechanical engineers. Your leadership will be instrumental in the planning, execution, and enhancement of the production of ecoLocked Materials®. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the entire production lifecycle – from raw material preparation through processing, packaging, and delivery – ensuring operational excellence and product quality.
The position includes but is not limited to the following roles and responsibilities:
- Production and people leadership – Lead the development of manufacturing plans to fulfil customer demands and oversee the operation of the pilot plant including the management and mentoring of the junior operatives
- Technical expertise and innovation – Oversee technical aspects of production, including maintenance, ensuring that machinery and processes are optimised for efficiency and sustainability
- Inventory management – Proactively manage stock levels and collaborate with the Supply Chain Team to avoid shortages and optimize inventory
- Data-driven operational excellence – Monitor and analyse production data to identify trends and efficiency improvements
- SOPs, quality management and HSE – Establish and refine SOPs for all production processes, focusing on expansion, efficiency, and HSE, to maintain a best-in-class facility.
- Regulatory compliance and safety management – Ensure compliance with the necessary safety and environmental regulations, proactively identifying new standards and/or voluntary regulations to increase safety/sustainability
- Collaboration and problem solving – Leading cross-functional collaborations to foster process improvements, troubleshoot production issues, and integrate novel and innovative solutions
This is a high impact role with huge growth potential. The insights and learnings developed will contribute to the overall process optimization, further automatization via smart control systems, and integration of ecoLocked Materials®, as part our next generation production facility.
Your profile
- You are fluent in German and English
- You have the right to full-time unrestricted work within Germany
- You live in or close to Berlin/Brandenburg within commutable distance to Bernau or are willing to relocate
- You hold a bachelors or masters degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in industrial, materials, manufacturing, quality, process or mechanical engineering
- You have at least 5 years of relevant industrial experience covering inventory management, operating machinery (including a forklift), quality controlling products and production processes and troubleshooting issues efficiently under pressure to meet strict delivery targets. People management is a big plus
- You are creative and like to think beyond the operational, to turn your innovative work and ideas into new methods and processes to increase competitiveness
- You have an unwavering ownership mentality and are proactive, resourceful, and structured in pushing progress in your areas of responsibility
- You are able to pay high attention to detail and focus on accuracy and quality with strong analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
- You are comfortable operating in a dynamic start-up environment with an evolving project scope
- You are passionate about a positive climate impact and cannot wait to contribute!
