Junior People and Finance Manager (m/w/d)

Your mission
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Junior People and Finance Manager (full-time or working student) who will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our business, office, and people operations. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of their responsibilities and has the ability to comprehend, structure, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to various aspects of our business and make a meaningful impact. You will closely collaborate with our People Manager and Finance Manager and have regular interactions with all business areas, including the founders. In the long-term the role gives you the opportunity to develop into different business areas.
 
 The position includes but is not limited to the following roles and responsibilities:
  1. People Experience:
    • Initiate and assist in implementing and organizing employee wellbeing initiatives.
    • Assist in organizing employee training programs, knowledge lunches, and other employee engagement initiatives.
    • Be the first point of contact for employee requests and questions.
    • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including paperwork, orientation, and exit interviews.
  2. Organization and Office Management:
    • Develop and implement company policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and other external stakeholders.
    • Initiate and organize team events and yearly annual offsite
    • Manage office inventory and supplies, and handle procurement as needed.
  3. Finance & Accounting:
    • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial controlling; conduct simple analyses 
    • Maintain our KPI tracking and support in preparing regular investor reports 
    • Assist in bookkeeping: ensure all invoices are correct and stored in an orderly manner (virtually & physically), assist in preparing invoices for our customers
    • Assist in payroll
The role will evolve and develop over time to meet your strengths, previous experiences, and future development goals as well as ecoLocked’s growth and development vision.
Your profile
  • A Bachelor’s degree or ‘Ausbildung’ in a related field.
  • Ideally, proven experience in office management, accounting, and/or human resources roles.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, especially in handling financial data.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities.
  • You are comfortable operating in a dynamic start-up environment with an evolving project scope

  • Fixed compensation: Competitive starting salary with regular reviews and development opportunities
  • Variable compensation: possible and to be discussed
